Our Priorities

Safety. This is our #1 priority, especially for our youth players.
Enjoyment. We want everyone to enjoy "the beautiful game" - players, coaches, parents, spectators and the referees.
Fairness. Referees work hard to study, understand and implement the Laws of the Game. We learn from our mistakes. We want the outcome of games to be determined by the players, not by our decisions. Win, lose or draw, we want players, parents and spectators to agree that the result of the game was fair.
Supporting Youth Referees. Half of all referees in Las Cruces are teenagers or college-age students. Refereeing (aka "officiating" or "reffing") is a great hobby for young men and women who enjoy soccer. It combines financial rewards and learning life skills such as communication and handling stressful situations.
